Our Process
1 Guy, 1 Truck, 1 Trailer has developed a comprehensive process in order to ensure a smooth move and the safety of both our customers and our team. Please review our process policies.
Notice Requirements
For a move larger than a two-bedroom apartment or condo, 1 Guy, 1 Truck, 1 Trailer requires a minimum of one week's notice. For smaller moves, we require only limited notice, and can often be available the same day you call.
We provide furniture pads, shrink wrap, and other protection methods at no additional charge. We also provide all of the tools required for any disassembly or reassembly. If you would like to do the disassembly and reassembly yourself, please let us know and we will adjust our price accordingly. We charge by the hour.
Currently, we do not provide storage solutions, but can move your items to a storage facility for you. We also do not provide boxes for moving. We do, however, provide
packing services upon request, with advance notice.
Parking and Loading Restrictions
If there is inadequate access or unavailable parking to a job upon arrival, 1 Guy, 1 Truck, 1 Trailer reserves the right to forfeit the move for the safety of our team members. We endeavor to take every advance precaution that this will not happen. We need to know if there is a reserved loading area close to your residence. Moves in Washington DC will require either a reserved loading dock or a permitted loading area on the street of a minimum of three car lengths in size. If you are a DC resident, you must contact your local government office to obtain a
reserved parking permit.
Cancellation Policy
1 Guy, 1 Truck, 1 Trailer requires a 24-hour advance notice if you need to cancel or postpone your move.
Damage Policy
In our many years of service, we have had an excellent track record and have never incurred significant damage during a move. If, however, a customer's items are damaged during a move, we will repair or replace the item as required, or offer fair market value for the item
